I have to say, this past weekend was amazing. We went on a three day weekend away, completely unplugged and free from stresses. The girls, my minions, had a blast at their Grandma's and my Knight and I, we were able to really relax and let our hair down. We cooked out every night, stayed up until the wee hours of the morning, drank a little too much, and just chilled. No phones, no computers, no interwebs, nothing. It was wonderful.
Today, I'm able to face the new work week with a sense of wonder and excitement. What new topics do I get to write about today? How can I use my words to jazz up the dull and dry? Oh yes, I'm looking forward to sitting down at my desk and picking away at the word counts.
By unplugging for the weekend and leaving the daily stresses at the door, I was able to clear my cache and reboot my system. It's something I don't get to do very often, but should make a point of doing every day. I don't let my computer fill up its cache, nor do I let it go weeks without a reboot. I shouldn't let myself either. Everybody should get the chance to, every day, even if it's for a little while.
