Last night, a plague washed over me, sudden and intense. It blinded me and left me crippled from ungodly pain. Luckily, the minions were gone, off to play with the forest spirits. But my Knight witnessed the horror. He gallantly stayed by my side, mixing potions of health and held me as the pain caused my body to tremor. His caring arms, thoughtful concoctions, and understanding heart, allowed me to ride the pain instead of fighting as I would normally do.
I full heartedly believe that his brave actions last night, prevented the plague from taking a strong hold on my mind, one that would have lasted months, leaving me without a mind, an empty shell. This morning, the pain is still intense, but the swelling, the pressure, is bearable. The blisters are small and less plentiful than they could have been. And my control over my mind and body is complete. I will conquer this plague swiftly, thanks to my brave Knight!
Now he sleeps, as I prepare myself; body, mind, and soul, to partake in the next leg of our journey. Today, we shall venture forth, to seek the council of the Wise Woman on the Mountain. Getting there will not be easy, nor should it be.
We must cleanse our space first, to ensure her words feel welcome when we bring them home. The chaos that the minions left must be tamed. Then, we must swim through the ocean of smog and lost things, with ever a watchful eye on the beasts that ride those blackened tides. Over the river this will take us, and through the woods as we climb the mountain. I can only hope that the spirits of water and forest allow us passage, for the council is much needed.
I know not what the Wise Woman of the Mountain will say, nor how it will affect the rest of my journey. The unknown is my biggest foe at this point. And I must conquer that fear.
